En concurrence notamment avec The xx, Glass Animals, Stormzy ou Ed Sheeran, Sampha a remporté hier soir l'édition 2017 du Hyundai Mercury Prize avec son album Process lors d'une cérémonie organisée à Londres.
Le londonien succède ainsi à une prestigieuse liste d'anciens vainqueurs incluant notamment Arctic Monkeys, PJ Harvey, Primal Scream, Franz Ferdinand, James Blake ou encore The xx.
